my thoughts:
- i use this before i use any styling tools that involve heat (such as blowdryer and straightener) and i adore how this makes my hair shine and protect it from further breakage. my hair color is also a lot more noticeable as well when i used this product over just styling it with an ordinary heat spray (i used to use v05)
- i do have a bit of frizz on my hair reason why i go for rebonding once a year. currently, the top half of my hair now is regrowth so if i just dry off my hair and let it dry naturally or fan-dried with or without hair product it'll retain that frizziness. this product totally addresses the frizziness issue of my hair, to my satisfaction!
- it's in spray form so it's not messy on the hands and ample product is applied to hair
- the smell is reminiscent of coconut due to the ingredient Shea Butter. it's subtle but at first i admit i didn't like it because i usually don't like foody smell on my hair products but it kinda grew on me and i adore it now
- the fact it's environment-friendly (the bottle is recyclable, made from high-density polyethylene or HDPE) and cruelty-free makes me feel better to support such products that do care for both environment and animals
- i believe it sells for US$19.99 but a little goes a long way. i've been using this once everyday (about 5 spritz) for about 6 weeks now and i still haven't used up one bottle. now, they are actually having a special on this product - 50% off at US$9.99!
i'm really head over heels over this product! i always thought heat sprays can only prevent the heat-inducing tools to further damage the hair - this product does more than that! so i was pleasantly surprised with this product. i'm definitely restocking! (^_^)

my thoughts:
- i've seldom use this before styling my hair because i've some scalp issue and i tend not to overapply products on my hair. but times when i feel like my conditioner needs a bit of help to moisturize my hair, i do use this and it sort of helps but i cannot really see a big difference.
- i tried using this on my face to freshen up and it kinda does without any stickiness, but i feel it should have that refreshing effect more - like what i experience with Avene Thermal Spring Water - for me to enjoy it more. i didn't dare use this to set makeup, as my face is oily and any setting makeup spray i've tried before doesn't really help. besides, this says bring moisture so i chose not to do so - i usually let my moisturizer does that, before makeup and not over it. what i like about this though is it doesn't irritate my oily, breakout-prone, sensitive skin which is really rare for trying out new skin products.
- this has subtle scent of aloe vera which is calming and soothing aroma
- the fact it's environment-friendly (the bottle is recyclable, made from high-density polyethylene or HDPE) and cruelty-free makes me feel better to support such products that do care for both environment and animals
- this sells for US$12.95 which i feel is a good price for a product you can use both on your hair and skin
i cannot say i am in love with this product but i am happy to use it. i reckon it's great for people with very dry hair as this adds more and locks in moisture.
Shielo is a USA-based hair and skin product brand that operates in New York. they do sell their products internationally and throws in free shipping for orders over US$75. i do recommend their Antioxidant Leave in Protectant - in fact, i am placing an order to replenish.
