It's been a very long while since MAC came up with a limited edition collection that truly excited me. And I'm elated that this one does very much!!! I'm contemplating on the flat buffer brush and blush. I like the lippie too but I think I already have a similar shade in my stash. I'm not a neutral eye makeup kinda gal but I'm slowly realizing I cannot keep on putting on colorful eyeshadow as I grow older. And this eyeshadow compact looks neat. I am loving the lip pencil and blush too! Hope I could still find some stocks when I hit the MAC counters! Are you captivated by this collection too?

ola chikas! i'm back at work today hehe. still feeling a little bit under the weather but i'd have to suck it up - program codes waiting for me in the office aren't going to code themselves haha! ok, enough geek talk lol time for some makeup talk! for Valentine's Day, i received a gift from my daughter - Sleek Makeup O.M.G. lipstick. she asked me what i wanted and i showed here everything i wanted at Luxola.com haha! i think she chose this not only because it looked pretty but because it's what she can afford too hehe! she was super sweet to have gotten me anything really! (^_^) i admit, the first time i saw the color in Sleek Makeup's website, i was dubious. i don't really tend to favor reds on my lips as i feel they are too much of an attention seeker so i cannot pair it with loud eyes. but lately, i've spent less and less time to get ready in the morning so i don't really devote time to apply eyeshadow to my eyes anymore compared before. boo ...

as requested and as i've promised, here are the looks i did from last weekend to showcase the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and NYX Matte Lipstick items i got from Digital Traincase. using NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Sao Paulo using NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm using NYX Matte Lipstick in Butter my favorite? i prefer the neutral ones (Stockholm/Butter) since i really favor rich, deep and dark eye makeup. i like Sao Paulo too just because it can liven up a look on its own and can be fun for bright looks too. now, i want more! *sigh* more expenses! and i still have a long list of beauty wishlist hehe. my impressions: i love these lip products but not to the point of loving them over my MAC Dazzleglass (those really are my favorite lip color products to date!). that's not to say i don't want to get more, i actually do! there's something about the formulation and feel and color payoff that getting these affordable lippies can be addicting. they don't loo...

i was able to visit Digital Traincase's booth at the Philippine Cosmetics Expo at Megamall Megatrade Hall 1 last September 3. i picked up NYX lippies, particularly the beauty bloggers' raved about Soft Matte Lip Creams.  while i'm not a fan of matte lippies (used to but that was a long time ago) because they are usually drying, my curiousity was stimulated when Shen of Shensaddiction posted inviting photos of her lips smeared with San Paulo shade. after reading her experience that it isn't drying, i thought i should try that at least and know for myself. i actually wanted to buy more but immediately i thought of so many other beauty products i want to buy that i restrained myself from getting more lol. i just picked one with bold color and a neutral shade (i love neutral lippies!). i also end up getting their Matte Lipstick just because i loved the color when i swatched it and told myself to try it out anyway. so here are my picks: Stockholm, San Paulo and Butter ...

got this the other week and although i can't really am deeply in love with it, i am a bit crazy about it - that's how much i like it. it gives color (pinky-peachy) but subtle enough to be mistaken as lipstick although not too glossy. that's what i love about Lustre formula. when i want color on my lips but don't want it too strong, gotta go with Lustre. another Lustre favorite of mine is Marquise'd. wasn't able to resist not buying any upon passing by MAC's store last last week. i've been meaning to restock my Blacktrack f/l since my Maybelline Creamy Eyestudio Liner already hardened for quite sometime now so i didn't forget to pick that up. another goodie i took home is their Spring Colour Forecast's Fresh Salmon - i like this color very much!!! i actually want to get more items but mini hauling gives me incentives without feeling guilty on splurging too much. wanna copy my strategy? LOL i decided not to post swatch of Blacktrack since it's just black anyway hehe. you can try browsing other sites for that. i will post my swatch for Fresh Salmon on a later post though. if you're interested, watch out for that. i really should be getting more eye brushes. i wasn't able to put eye makeup again because my eye brushes aren't all washed up yet. *sigh* it doesn't matter right because i can still show off something - lip color! today, i decided to play with one of the favorite pink lippies i have, Laura Mercier Creme Lip Colour Hydrangea. please excuse my lower lip, i think the skin's a bit chafed. it's a pretty, cool strawberry pink shade. on another note, i know i'm going on and on about my contest but i promise i will announce it soon! please don't get tired of watching out for it hehe.
