here comes: Shiseido White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum

going home at the end of a working day is usually rewarding enough for a working mother like me - just being able to see my husband and children waiting for me. but the news of a new whitening serum that can spot target by Shisheido almost made me shriek like a 6-year-old girl. i looked up their site to further feed my excitement.

what the product promises to deliver:

The Melano Sensor System, which combines Shisheido's most powerful whitening ingredients (4MSK, m-Tranexamic Acid, Multi-Target Vitamin C), diminishes age spots, darkened pores and acne marks at every stage of formation by targeting every level of pigmentation.

Helps prevent and diminish dark spots with three unique approaches:
First approach:
Powerful whitening ingredient m-Tranexamic Acid targets persistent spots where over-active melanocytes continuously produce excess melanin.*

Second approach:
Shisheido-original whitening ingredient 4MSK helps diminish the activity of the enzyme tyrosinase to reduce melanin production.*

Third approach:
Multi-Target Vitamin C reduces melanin produced from pre-melanin DHICA.*

Natural Yomogi extract promotes the smooth elimination of melanin from persistent spots.*

*in vitro tests

Ingredients:
4MSK, m-Tranexamic Acid, Multi-Target Vitamin C, Yomogi Extract, Super Hydro-Synergy Complex, Glucosyl Hespridine etc

i did a little research on the two most active ingredients they are boasting about:

on m-Tranexamic Acid:
"Abstract; It is found that there is a clear difference between the normal and the pigmented spots of human face skin by scientific examininations. It indicates that melanocytes are always activated by receiving unknown stimuli at the pigemented spots unlike the normal spots. As m-tranexamic acid acts suppressively on inflammatory proteases, it has been supposed to fundamentally suppress the melanocytes' activation caused by unknown stimuli, and to protect the skin from exacerbation of hyperpigmentation."

on 4MSK (potassium 4-methoxysalicylate):
"It can inhibit the formation of melanin and splash .It has highly whitening effect in cosmetic."

isn't that exciting? am usually not into whitening products but i have acne marks on my cheeks that i can't ever get rid of so i wanna give this one a try. question is: is it really effective??? i think after purchasing (if i finally decided to do so), i will look out for the results as depicted:

OMG, i really hope this can help me out! can't hide my excitement, tee hee.
